After the workshop conducted in August 2007, follow-up communications through emails were done to coordinate the official cooperation between the City Government of Iligan and InWEnt, Germany for the capability building assistance through the conduct of series of workshops on Theory of Constraints.
First schedule proposed by InWEnt was for the workshop to be held in December 2007 but it did not push through because Engr. Christine Orbe, City Waterworks System Manager, could not be available. It was then moved to January 2008 however this time, the Consultant, Mr. Adolfo Held has a tight schedule. At last, the 1st workshop proper for the program was finalized to be conducted on March 10-14, 2008.
On January 24, 2008, Ms. Karena Kimmel, InWEnt Coordinating Staff, emailed me for the details of the March workshop. I was tasked to submit the profiles of the participants for their review. Then I booked the consultants at Cheradel Suites. Because of the tight schedule of Mr. Adolfo Held, a second consultant was sent by InWEnt, Mr. Thomas Shoemaker from the United States of America, a consultant and expert not only in Theory of Constraints but also in water management. Ms. Kimmel will also be coming with them to assist them during the workshop. The proposed topics for the 5-day workshop include building the current and future reality trees, solving conflicts using conflict resolution diagram, and practical application of finding constraints in the Iligan Waterworks.
